Syno Vein: Loan Authenticating System

As the sole designer for Syno Vein, I was tasked with creating a loan authentication platform from the ground up while stationed on-site with our client. This project was a deep dive into FinTech, pushing me to learn the intricacies of loan sanctioning without the direct guidance of my senior design team. It was where I conducted my first usability test, interviewing senior stakeholders to transform their expert feedback into a user-centered design.

Challenges
Designing for a niche B2B FinTech product meant I couldn't rely on common design patterns. I had to create an experience tailored to expert users. As the only designer on Synovein at the moment, I was responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from understanding the core problem to delivering a polished, product-ready design.
Constraints
The main constraint was the unique and demanding work environment. I was stationed on-site at the client’s office at CSL Finance in Noida, far from my home office in Jaipur and our design head. This meant I was often on my own for design decisions and had to work within the client's office strict 9-to-5 schedule, which eliminated the option of working late during crunch time.
On top of this, my workload was split. I was juggling the entire design process for Syno Vein by myself while also working with another designer on a separate project, Synofin LMS. Balancing both under a tight quick deadlines to deliver a product-ready prototype was hectic, since my product manager was pitching and showcasing new features with the client every day, but I managed to pull through. 😅
A 'Whiteboard' Moment of Clarity
I’ll be honest, when I started, the terminology of loan sanctioning was going right over my head. Since I was working remotely from my design mentors, my product manager was my only source of guidance. Sensing I was struggling, he grabbed a whiteboard and marker, took the night to explain me the entire process and the terms. That simple session was a breakthrough, it gave me the clarity and confidence I needed to move forward independently.
Getting down to work
My process began with evaluating the initial screens that had been built by a previous team. Recognizing the lack of a cohesive design system, my PM and I made the strategic call to start from scratch.
The first major decision was to align Syno Vein's user experience with our company's flagship product, Synofin LMS.

The first major decision was to align Synovein's user experience with our company's flagship product, Synofin LMS. We took inspiration from the Microsoft Office suite's consistent navigation and applied that logic, establishing a familiar top-nav bar to create a unified brand experience.
With that direction set, I dove into Figma and built a comprehensive design system from the ground up, creating a full library of components and color styles to drive consistency.
I then designed the core UI, including the data-rich application dashboards and detailed views. The final step was to build a high-fidelity, interactive prototype that was polished enough to be pitched to the client's key stakeholders.
Key Iterations
The first major change was scrapping the initial side-nav concept in favor of a top-navigation bar that mirrored Synofin LMS. This, along with an updated logo and color scheme, instantly positioned Synovein as part of a trusted product family.

The usability test with the RCU and Legal heads was a turning point. My initial design for document review featured a simple, chat-style comment thread. Their feedback revealed they needed a much more structured system. I completely redesigned this flow to include clear action buttons ('Approve', 'Reject', 'Send Back'), structured report details, and a formal remarks section, transforming it from a conversation tool into a powerful decision-making hub.

Iteration 3
A key UX improvement was the implementation of role-based navigation. The application details screen was designed with a dynamic tabbed view ('Technical', 'Legal', 'RCU', etc.). The interface intelligently adapted to the user's role, an admin would see all tabs, while a legal team member would only be shown information relevant to them, streamlining their workflow and reducing cognitive load.
Final Deliverables
I successfully delivered three key assets:
A complete Design System built for the new product.
A high-fidelity, working Prototype that incorporated user feedback.
The final Web App Design, ready to be pitched to new clients.
Takeaways & Reflection
Syno Vein was a period of massive professional growth for me. It’s where I learned that the best way to understand a complex problem is to talk to the experts. Conducting that first usability test on my own and then pitching the product for the first time was nerve-wracking but incredibly rewarding. It taught me how to be self-reliant and trust my design instincts. I'm proud that I was able to go from knowing nothing about loan sanctioning to delivering a complete, user-validated product design in just one month, all while navigating a demanding remote work environment.
